I want to tell all gay people that Jesus does love you!!!! There was no word ever used in the original language of the bible that refered to same-sex commited partners. The word " homosexual " did not appear in the English bible until 1958, when they mis-translated words that were used to describe pagan shrine priests. Let's you and I study the original language of the bible, so that you too can see Jesus loves gay people, it is mankind that has the problem. There are some common bible passages that Pastors like to use as a weapon to stab homosexual people with. Let's start by looking in the Old Testament, at Leviticus 18:22, 20:13. The background of this book is God gave these rules for the Hebrew people and Priests in order that they would be set apart from the surrounding pagan cultures, such as Egypt and the Canaanites. God did not want the Hebrew culture to fall into the worshiping of their false pagan gods. Part of false pagan god worship included sexual acts. These sex acts were done in order to arouse their gods of fertility. If their fertility gods were pleased, then these gods in return would bless the followers with fertility of their land, themselves, and their animals. Anything went in these idol worship rituals such as : incest, sex with animals, origies, sex with pagan priests, cutting themselves, drunkenness, and sacrificing their children in the fire to the god Molech. These were hetero-sexual people, husbands and wives together, NOT homosexual people. So, when Leviticus 18:22 says " man shall not lie with man AS he lies with a woman" God is speaking to Hetero-sexual men that would have sex with the male pagan -shrine-priest and then go home with their wife. The reason men had sex with these very effeminant pagan priests was thay were giving their " seed " [sperm] to the false priest as an offering to the pagan gods of " fertility". This was done as part of their religious beliefs, they were not practicing homosexuality. Pastors take these verses out of context, and they are 100% wrong.
